Touring Cars

This section of the site is home to all varieties of touring car from around the world. Touring cars are based to a greater or lesser degree on standard road cars. Traditionally these were saloons, but hatchbacks and even estate cars have been used as touring cars. Over the years, touring car series' have been populated by anything from the Mini to the Mustang. Regulations differ greatly between different series'. In some cases, the race versions will be closely based on their showroom counterparts, with tuned production engines and uprated tyres and suspension. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the race cars may be nothing more than a vague silhouette of the road version, containing purpose-built mechanicals. Regardless of the fine details, touring car racing has always produced superb looking cars and fantastic action.
